Reporting to the Center of Excellence (COE) Packaging\nDirector of Strategic Sourcing, this position is responsible for creating value\nby communicating the latest trends in terms of design, new technologies and\nmaterial optimization. This role has very high visibility within the\norganization to guide the various business as this data will provide critical\ninformation to help guide strategic, engineering and design decision making. The\ncandidate will utilize various market intelligence sources, engineering &\ndesign packaging advisors. In addition, this person will also support the Center\nof Excellence (COE) with some key KPI ownership and support to drive but not limited\nto activities like HGR (Hight growth region) moves, 1:1:1 supplier\nrationalizations and other areas to support.

Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify cost saving opportunities via redesign, alternate material, alternate supplier, new technologies, supplier rationalization, SKU’s consolidation, drive negotiations and/or enhanced packaging processes in the sites.Experience in contract negotiations.Experience in category strategy construction and implementation.Being a voice that can influence critical stakeholders.Assist with identifying key core packaging suppliers/partners.Packaging liaison for sustainability – drive sustainability initiatives.Drive VE & CE projects to execution – establish parameters to reduce barriers.Complete understanding of market trends in terms of material indices, packaging equipment enhancements, sustainability requirements, packaging regulations (if applicable). Attend Packaging Expos to stay abreast of industry.YOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree in relevant field.At least 8 years of relevant work experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain function.Experience working in a matrixed organization.Growth mindset and\ncreative attitude to change the status quo.
