Communication and Public Affair Partner serves as corporate communication expert, who can leverage the power of communication externally and internally, to bring measurable added value to company and employee.
This person has to be capable and accountable to proactively sense the needs and trends, collect and prepare the material, and deliver with a highly professional presence, particularly contributing with communication expertise in areas which support the company's business and reputational objectives.
Build corporate branding to external- earn stakeholders’ trust and positive perception of Roche Taiwan to enhance partnerships, and also attract external talent to join Roche.
Responsible for driving corporate initiatives and processes through effective communication with stakeholders within or outside the organization. Can be brand and above brand (e.g.organizational/operational change)
Maximise Roche Taiwan’s transferable impact to communities.
Enhance employee engagement
Upkeep the corporate communication Standard of Procedures and governance at the highest level of ethics.
Required to collaborate with both internal and external cross-functional team members, as well as with above affiliate networks and external stakeholders.
Ensure the effective functional budget planning and execution, vendor management, and timely outcome measurement
[Key Responsibilities/Deliverables]
Corporate Communications:
Ensure consistency in key messages and development towards the vision/outcomes established from Global/APAC to/in the affiliate.
Lead and implement communication strategies of brands, above brands, corporate culture and identity and people engagement.
Build an on-going communication and engagement strategy for the affiliate GM and the Enabling Team to support critical updates/changes rolling out.
Support the flow-through communication strategy of People & Culture related initiatives externally (e.g. employer branding) and internally (e.g. GEOS/employee surveys, People Practice etc).
Build employee engagement plans/platforms through open and transparent communications to support affiliate MTOs
Own and manage “All Roche TW” email account and official website
Media and Digital Engagement:
Lead and drive media strategy to build/support/establish brands and corporate objectives.
Act as Primary Point of Contact for media
Develop and drive positive media / digital coverage on the company’s activities and key messages with strategic purposes above.
Help employees to onboard and maintain active engagement through the organization’s digital platforms
Crisis Management:
Provide consultation and input to business team during communication planning processes to avoid possible issues and crisis
Lead in building internal/external communications content whenever issues emerge, so as to avoid the issues developing into crisis.
Update SOP in Crisis Management in the affiliate.
Partake an active role in issues, conflict and crisis management, and establish a corresponding network in order to manage internal and external communications flow to minimize negative impact and seek positive opportunities.
Liaise with business colleagues on the above items.
Provide related internal key stakeholders (APAC, Global) heads-up whenever there is an issue evolving locally or worldwide.
Corporate Reputation:
Develop and lead the implementation of an insight-driven Corporate Social Responsibility plan, including goals, strategies and tactics (e.g.Roche Children’s Walk etc.)
Make sure brand communication content is aligned with guidelines, corporate values, and society expectations.
Maintain and standardize Roche affiliate intranet and Roche Corporate website.
Brand Communications:
In collaboration with the DA Squad for internal /external communication strategic planning, and lead the execution to meet planned objectives.
Liaise with Global/APAC communication resources for key DA/brand development and events.
Liaise with the internal (e.g. global Disease Area teams, APAC) communication community to update employees of key activities and developments of products using articles, press releases, speeches and supporting collateral, media events and roundtables.

-Outstanding oral/written language skills in the local business language as well as English.
-Outstanding judgment with a balance of confidence, maturity, refinement and high energy.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact with senior leaders and matrixed functions and departments.
-Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills.
-Ability to select, manage and direct PR agencies and other vendors in terms of strategy development, quality, cost and deliverables.
-Good relationship skills with local media.
-Ability to lead without authority. Great sense of urgency and prioritization.
-Ability to manage a number of programs/projects simultaneously, and to be hands-on as well as strategic.
-Team player who can lead by example, with high accountability for his/her actions
-Unquestioned commitment to a highly-ethical organization
-Independent & self-motivated
-Proven experience as a communication expert or similar functions is preferred
-University degree and above.
