We are seeking a motivated Communication & Education Intern to join our Onboarding & Education department. This role is ideal for a Communications or Marketing major eager to gain hands-on experience in content creation, digital strategy, and modern delivery channels, including AI and digital tools. The intern will work on Financial Wellness communication projects while learning the basics of the 401(k) plan business. This is an excellent opportunity to develop both creative and strategic skills while contributing to impactful client education initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist the client-facing communications and workshop education delivery teams with organizing custom content in digital library solutions such as SharePoint, Seismic, and Panopto.
Create and support workshop, video, webinar, and email promotional content to enhance participant engagement.
Take notes in client strategy meetings, shadow participant workshops, and gain an understanding of the 401(k) plan business.
Collaborate with team members to analyze participant trends and behaviors and support the creation of digital education outreach strategies, including promotional contests and perks programs.
Assist with basic data analysis to inform education and communication strategies.
By the end of the internship, you will provide a summary and analysis of our Financial Wellness offerings, identifying gaps and suggesting new approaches, campaigns, or delivery channels with a focus on the perspective of a younger workforce. Deliver a basic summary of 401(k) plans, highlighting key areas to simplify enrollment for young professionals.
Required Qualifications:
Current undergraduate student pursuing a major or concentration in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to create engaging content.
Familiarity with digital platforms and tools, with a willingness to learn new systems (e.g., SharePoint, Seismic, Panopto).
Ability to think critically and analyze participant behavior and trends.
Creativity, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
Interest in content creation and digital education strategies (financial industry experience is not required).

Salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
