Communication Specialist
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Communications & Community Engagement Manager in Alexandria, Virginia. As a Communications & Community Engagement Manager, you will be tasked with implementing effective communication strategies and community-building initiatives, developing creative content, and managing various communication and marketing projects. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement member engagement strategies, including personalized email communications and community-building initiatives • Collaborate with teams to create and share compelling content, such as visuals, that resonate with various target audiences • Contribute to the editorial calendar to create tailored content featuring key news, educational opportunities, and impactful events • Manage communication initiatives, including press releases, thought leadership pieces, social posts, website content, and newsletters • Create and manage a social media moderation plan to engage the community, monitor interactions, and identify any reputational risks • Interact with social followers, members, and establish partnerships with relevant organizations and influencers to expand visibility within the industry • Stay updated on industry trends and digital marketing best practices, applying insights to enhance communication strategies and member engagement • Work closely with the marketing team to set up email automation, forms, and landing pages tailored to enhance the member journey • Utilize tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe InDesign, Content Management System (CMS), and HubSpot to aid in your tasks • Drive brand awareness through various channels, including advertisements, blogging, brochures, and campaign planning. Requirements • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe InDesign • Experience with Content Management System (CMS) • Proven ability to create effective advertisements • Strong blogging skills to engage with our audience • Experience in increasing brand awareness • Ability to design and create brochures that reflect our brand identity • Experience in campaign planning and execution • Strong media relations skills, including writing and distributing media releases • Excellent client communication skills • Experience developing and implementing communication strategies • Track record of successful community outreach and engagement • Expertise in using HubSpot for marketing and sales activities Innovation starts with people.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
