The ideal candidate is passionate about higher education and committed to working with colleagues across campus in efforts to promote the University to potential students. Responsibilities: + Monitors key social media activities and participates proactively in dialog benefitting the assigned Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) member + Manages with press briefings, media interviews, advertising, promotional activities, and special events. + Writes content for annual reports, brochures, flyers, news releases, technical papers, proceedings, newsletters, posters and presentations, and web. + Maintains a tracking system for project timelines and costs. + This document represents the major duties, responsibilities, and authorities of this job, and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and functions. Necessary Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Related experience in communication, marketing, sales, higher education, or social media. + Proficient knowledge in MS Office, MacOS and applications, & Adobe Creative Suite + Exemplary written and verbal communication skills + Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers + Ability to problem solve and manage multiple tasks and priorities + Must be able to keep confidentiality Preferred Qualifications: + Master’s degree + Three (3) years of related experience Applicant Instructions: Please include the following with your application: + Cover letter + Resume + Three references Please attach all documents in the attachment box at the bottom of the “My Experience” page before continuing through the application.
