The Communication Assistant will support the McGill Centre for Innovation in Storage and Conversion of Energy (McISCE)'s communication strategies and outreach efforts.

This position involves collaborating closely with researchers, and administrative staff to help ensure that the Centre’s achievements, projects, and activities are effectively communicated to various stakeholders, including academic audiences, industry partners, and the public.

Typical Functions:

Provide input to the development of internal and external communication plans.Prepare and edit articles, newsletters, reports, and other communication materials that highlight the Centre’s research, innovations, and contributions to the field of energy researchCoordinate and maintain the Centre’s digital presence, including social media channels, website content, and multimedia resources.Support the planning and coordination of events, workshops, and conferences to showcase the Centre’s advancements.Monitor and report on communication metrics and the impact of outreach efforts.

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience:

High School Diploma with two years of relevant experience in the field of work

Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.Experience with growing a social media presence.
