Position Summary:

The Faculty of Arts is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to provide comprehensive support in the planning and execution of a poster showcase event, highlighting the work of U0 students who participated in the Foundation Year Program Pilot.

Job Responsibilities:

Liaise with Faculty to request poster submissions from Foundation Year Program Pilot seminars

Organise workshops to guide undergraduates in how to present their work in poster format

Edit and curate submissions

Lead production of a brochure for the event, bringing together all the submissions and celebrating the Pilot project as a whole

Advertise the showcase on appropriate channels and manage registrations

Write up a piece about the showcase for Faculty newsletter


Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:

Proven ability to work collaboratively while demonstrating leadership as the situation requires. Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage and adhere to project timelines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with students, McGill staff, and external contacts.  Experience editing various documents with strong attention to detail. Ability to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes a sense of community.  Experience working in a university setting and holding a higher education degree is an asset.

Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 (fluent) on a scale of 0-4.
