About the Client:
A leading global hedge fund with around 100 employees in London.

About the Communications Associate role:
An opportunity for someone who is looking to build on existing PR/communications experience and progress their career in a stimulating and challenging environment. Reporting to the International Media Relations Director and working with a tight knit global team, responsibilities will include:

Media monitoring, including pulling together clips of news events, summarising information and providing succinct summaries of daily news.Supporting the team to respond to incoming media enquiries and handling requests from the media.Drafting press releases, briefing notes, editing copy and proofreading.Mapping out of conference landscapes and identifying possible speaking opportunities.Preparation of presentations and supporting on creative projects .Building relationships both internally and externally - liaising with investment professionals and departments in addition to external vendors, PR agencies and creative partners.Administrative support to include scheduling events/meeting and calls, monitoring of emails and building and maintaining journalist databases across geographies.Other duties as required.

Experience and Skills required:

Prior communications experience from a financial PR agency or in-house environment is preferable. Candidates with corporate PR experience from other industries will be considered.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Degree-educated (or equivalent).Ability to manage a high-volume, creative, fast-paced workload and meet a variety of deadlines.Flexible and team-orientated attitude - "no task is too small".Strong relationship-builder; trustworthy, discreet and positive.Proficiency in Microsoft Office - particularly Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.Familiarity with social media and business information platforms e.g. Factiva would be ideal.
