**What's The Role**
The Communications Associate is a key position within the Communications function at Liberty Latin America (LLA), reporting directly to the VP, Head of Communications. This role is integral in supporting a range of communication activities designed to enhance the company's reputation while managing both internal and external communication efforts.
The position focuses on developing compelling content, organizing company events, and coordinating various communication initiatives aligned with the business goals. The Communications Associate should bring experience in media relations, including media monitoring, reporting, and distributing press releases.
**What You'll Do**
+ Develop communication content with clarity, appropriate tone, accuracy, and balance to resonate with key stakeholders, promote the company, and reinforce its positive image.
+ Draft press releases, prepare materials for media kits and briefings, and provide engaging and up-to-date information for the company’s website.
+ Manage media monitoring and reporting to track coverage of the company and the competitive landscape.
+ Write speeches, internal messages, and other communication materials as needed.
+ Support the planning and management of events, including vendor coordination.
+ Build cross-functional relationships to stay informed of key news, developments, and initiatives.
+ Contribute to the communications editorial calendar in collaboration with the broader Communications team.
+ Provide communications support for key company activities, including but not limited to quarterly earnings reports and M&A initiatives.
**What Do You Need**
+ Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
+ At least 3 years of public relations or communications experience within an agency or company with a global presence.
+ Proven experience in media monitoring and reporting.
+ Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write effectively for various formats.
+ Proven ability to manage confidential information and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
+ Attention to detail is essential.
+ Event planning and vendor management experience is preferred.
+ High level of professionalism when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Adaptable communication style to meet the expectations of a dynamic business environment.
+ Flexibility to travel occasionally and work irregular hours when necessary.
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus.
+ Demonstrated experience in researching and developing compelling, effective communication materials.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Ability to quickly learn and utilize communication software tools.
+ Experience with communication tools such as email distribution systems, intranet platforms, etc., is a plus.
+ **Compensation** : The salary range for this role is between **$75K and $100K annually** , based on qualifications and experience.
