Job Description
A Communications Associate provides basic communication support, writing, and services to meet the goals of sector and strategic communications. The position can create and deliver a basic range of communication vehicles; provide research and support for corporate communications products, assist in keeping the team organized; and mange additional tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand and apply tenets of good communication to the full range of EPRI corporate communications products and services.Create social media and other short-form article content (i.e.: blogs); develop basic strategies and implementation plans; and provide tactical assistance with communications campaigns.Identify opportunities to continuously improve communication tools and content to enhance communications.Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or marketing, or equivalent work experience in energy, research media, and/or corporate communications. 1-5 years of experience in a communications, marketing or similar function preferred. Energy industry experience preferred.Excellent communication skills (i.e., writing, verbal, relationship-building)Ready to learn and master basic communication skills, including: Develop and write social media, blogs, media pitches, fact sheetsDevelop presentationsUse communications tools, like AI (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc)Manage completion of complex assignments requiring strong organization skillsUnderstand basic layout concepts for all mediaKnowledge and ability to strategically use social and digital mediaPitch/place storiesEducate fellow employees and improve employee skills in the full range of business communicationsRepresent EPRI (in non-technical discussions) at conferences and briefings; be able to network effectively for EPRISkills and Attributes:

The salary range for this position is $55,000 USD to $63,500 USD annually.This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s annual incentive program. The amount of incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s standard employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision, 401k, STD/LTD and paid family leave, life and accident insurance, paid time off (flexible vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay).EPRI participates in E-Verify, an online system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration (SSA).
