The Communications Coordinator will support the development and execution of internal communication strategies and events to enhance employee engagement and ensure consistent messaging across the organization. This entry-level role involves supporting internal communication initiatives, content distribution channels, and event planning. This is a hybrid (1-2 days/week) role based out of our Houston, TX office.

Job Highlights

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Internal Communications:Assists in developing and implementing internal communication plans that align with the organization's goals and culture.Drafts, reviews, and distributes internal communications materials, including newsletters, announcements, presentations, and executive briefs.Maintains and updates the company's intranet and internal communication channels to ensure timely and accurate information dissemination.Coordinates and assists with organizing internal events, meetings, and employee engagement activities.Collaborates with various departments to gather content and ensure consistency in messaging across the organization.Administrative Support:Assist with coordinating conferences, meetings, and other internal events as needed.Provides general administrative support to the Internal Communications teams, including data entry, report generation, and supply orders.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSAs):Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and familiarity with content management systems.Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other graphic platforms.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact effectively with employees at all levels.Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.1-2 years of experience in internal communications, human resources, project or event management or a related administrative role.Experience with internal communication tools and platforms.Basic understanding of graphic design principles and familiarity with design software.*The physical demands described here are representative of those that may need to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Occasional StandingOccasional WalkingFrequent SittingFrequent hand, finger movementUse office equipment (in office or remote) Ability to type at least 35 words per minuteCommunicate verbally and in writing Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareEmail this job to a friendRefer <p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
