Job Description

The Communications & External Affairs Senior Specialist is responsible for the leading, planning, implementation and management of high-quality communication activities/content to engage internal and external audiences, as well as building and protecting our corporate brand. He/she is accountable for capturing media opportunities and social media strategy for Company brand positioning to share our company’s purpose, vision, business updates and culture pillars. In addition to this, the Communications & External Affairs Senior Specialist works closely to the Communications & Patient Engagement Associate Director to support strategic communications, media and civil society relations to strengthen the internal and external positioning plan.

The role requires an innovative, creative, organized, self-motivated and individual with potential of growth, who can work effectively and confidently within a dynamic and cross-functional team.

Primary Activities:

Design a comprehensive internal and external communications strategy for Colombia with key audiences, channels, platforms, and messaging framework.Develop a corporate communications strategy in alignment with HR to position the Company as a top employer and a leader in pharmaceutical industry.Design and implement Company social media strategy while managing corporate digital assets (corporate website, regional social media channels) to promote Colombia positioning at a local and at a LATAM level.Work in alignment with the Communications and Patient Engagement Associate Director, the Policy Team and Business Units to create communication initiatives aligned with the Business Objectives and the environment trends.Support engagement activities with civil society organizations and oversight of the ESG plan execution.Lead the design and execution of the Internal Communications PlanClose co-operation with the LATAM Communication fellows to share best practices, capitalize on regional and global opportunities.Comply with internal policies and maintain an accurate record of social responsibility and philanthropy activities for audit purposes.

Profile required:

Experience (4-5 years) in working with internal and external communications, civil society/international organizations. Pharmaceutical sector is a plusAdvanced fluent professional communication skills (written and verbal) in Spanish and in EnglishAbility to work cross-functionally and to translate business messages and tailor them for different audiencesHands-on way of working, used to work both strategically and operationally, getting things doneWell familiarized and proficient working with digital publishing tools, digital platforms, and social mediaBe a good team worker and work well with othersHigh ethics, integrity, and discretion; ability to build trustworthy relationships
