The Communications Intern role will support planning, designing, implementing and monitoring Sojourner Center’s marketing collateral, communications, and social media along with supporting database administrative needs of the Philanthropy department.

Responsibilities Creation of communications and collateral (physical and electronic) in accordance to current brand standardsMaintains SC’s Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn ensuring each is brand compliant, culturally relevant, and displays an intelligent, modern approach to utilizing each platformResponsible for the execution of tasks associated to developing, collecting, writing, filming and photographing content for SC’s social media platforms.Develops and executes engaging email campaigns and newsletters that align with Sojourner Center’s mission, programs, and fundraising goalsUpdates company website including blog, and coordinates with the website hosting company to maintain the SC websiteDesigns and gathers relevant information and content for print and digital collateral projects, performs preliminary copyedits, and coordinates approvalsManages the system to track the progress of various communications and fundraising campaigns with Bloomerang (donor database)Checks on the progress of projects, communicating with the team as needed, regarding information updates and pending deadlinesAccurately record donor gifts and pledges, including all needed gift details, into Bloomerang (donor database)Maintain up-to-date donor records, including contact information, giving history, and preferencesDocument donor touchpoints and sent communications in BloomerangManage acknowledgement letter templates, generate and send timely acknowledgement lettersSupport the implementation of online fundraising campaigns with department leadership.
