Ferrellgas has an exciting opportunity in our Communications Department for a Corporate Intern. As an Intern at Ferrellgas, you will get to work with one of the largest propane retailers in the United States. This role is a unique, year-long, fully remote internship that will provide a background into the propane industry and communications field. You’ll have the opportunity to work on various communications-related projects for Ferrellgas and Blue Rhino to help you launch a successful career. During this internship, you will work on various projects including copy writing, intranet management and content creation, and press releases. You’ll also assist in developing multi-faceted communications plans, coordinating charitable events and public relations outreach, and more.
Responsibilities Gains an understanding of all aspects of the business, with a focus on corporate communications, public relations, media response, and public and community affairs.Instills and upholds a customer service culture within the company that fosters retention, relationships, and loyalty, and positions the company for increased growth opportunities.Partners with key mentors throughout the program.Assists managers and staff with projects as assigned.Collaborates with managers, supervisors, and other senior staff.Follows all company regulations and health and safety codes.Learns about conflict resolution and how to address various situations. Qualifications Must be currently enrolled in college level studies in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.Excellent communication skills: written and oral.Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.A positive attitude and willingness to learn.Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Photoshop or similar photo editing program.Superb attention to detail.Excellent copy editing and copywriting skills.Exemplary time management skills.Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United StatesApplicants must not now, or any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.
