As Ford Pro continues expanding its productivity solutions in Europe, we seek a passionate and experienced Communications Leader to lead our software, charging, and services communications efforts. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growing business unit within a global automotive leader.
We seek a self-directed, experienced communications professional who can manage our software, charging and services communications in Europe in alignment with our global communications plan as we expand our ecosystem of productivity solutions for commercial customers.
This leader will report to the Head of Ford Pro Communications in Europe and this position will be based at our UK Headquarters, Dunton Technical Centre in Basildon, Essex on a hybrid working basis.
Scope:
Develop, Align and Execute Communications Strategies: Create and execute integrated communications plans to launch new Ford Pro software, charging, and services solutions, in alignment with our global communications plan, highlighting their benefits for customers. Position Ford Pro as Europe's Commercial Productivity Leader: Through proactive media relations, thought leadership initiatives and strategic partnerships, position Ford Pro as Europe's leading provider of commercial productivity and innovation enabled by software, charging innovation and solutions. Collaborate and Align: Work closely with global and European colleagues to ensure consistent messaging and competitive differentiation, fostering a unified voice for Ford Pro. Measure and Demonstrate Impact: Track and analyse program effectiveness, demonstrating the return on investment of communications initiatives and driving continuous improvement. Proven Experience: 10+ years of communications experience in the automotive industry, with a strong focus on commercial vehicle electrification, charging, or software solutions and demonstrable experience of having identified communication opportunities and having created and led management of stories to generate increased coverage and engagement of products/services. Media Relations Expertise: Proven track record in media relations, with strong relationships with leading technology, business and automotive publications. Analyst Relations and Thought Leadership: Experience in industry analyst relations and a proven ability to develop and execute successful thought leadership programs. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives and delivering impactful presentations. Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment, collaborating seamlessly with internal and external stakeholders. Budget Management: Manage launch budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources that maximize the impact of communications initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement: Work proactively with the wider communications team in Ford, leveraging their experience and insights to deliver a comprehensive integrated communications offering across all channels. Immerse yourself in product and build positive relationships with project teams across the business to develop a deep understanding of the Ford Pro offering. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with other key stakeholders, including media, analysts, customers, and industry influencers.
