By equipping the brightest minds with the best resources available, we provide an invaluable edge in real estate. **ROLE DESCRIPTION:** The Communications Manager’s mission is to ensure that communications initiatives, both external and internal, are leveraged for greatest effectiveness. The Communications Manager works with a variety of stakeholders, partners and spokespeople, for the purpose of delivering effective, high impact communications deliverables. These include company events, speaking opportunities, staff events and meetings, internal comms, earned media, and company announcements. Working within the marketing department, the Communications Manager will spend their time planning communications programs and projects to ensure that: + We maximize the opportunity that each event presents + Stakeholders and participants are well-briefed and prepared for participation + The content is aligned with the marketing and business strategy + The content is crafted with due consideration to the audience + We understand, as best we can, the impact of the communications The position will be active and highly varied. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, energetic environment and exudes positivity, collaboration, calm and a can-do attitude. This role offers a schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day remote. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Planning communications initiatives – identifying the purpose, best outcomes and right approach to achieve that result. + Identifying opportunities to create communications events which contribute to desired marketing outcomes. + Identifying spokespeople to participate in communications initiatives + Working with executive leadership to craft and curate internal communications, including written, verbal and visual (presentation assembly) + Briefing and preparing spokespeople for their participation with well-thought-out written materials and verbal briefings or preparatory sessions + Developing relationships with partners, vendors and external influencers who can amplify our message + Working with the marketing department leadership and other business leaders to ensure the communications strategy matches the marketing and business strategy. + Drafting materials for internal or external communications including press releases, announcements or memos, etc. + Advising spokespeople or marketing staff on communications considerations – being the point person for maintaining a consistent tone, choosing the right words, and anticipating communications challenges. + Coordinating practical matters for communications events, for example, ensuring speakers know where to be and when, making sure necessary equipment or materials are provided, organizing walk-throughs or preparatory sessions, roleplaying Q&A. + Measuring the impact of communications, for example by coordinating post-event surveys, or collaborating with the marketing team to analyze the impact of communications moment on marketing metrics **BASIC REQUIREMENTS:** + Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College + Track record of commitment to prior employee + 8+ years of experience in a corporate communications, public relations or similar post OR 6+ years of experience with Master’s degree + High standard of communication skills – confident speaker, and accurate, compelling copywriter. + Demonstrable experience planning communications moments to successfully achieve a specific desirable outcome. + Unflappably work to tight deadlines, under pressure. + Ability toaddress a range of subjects of varying complexity + Ability to adapt their approach and get the best out of all relationships **PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:** + Experience in the commercial real estate sector, or at an online marketplace business or technology / software company + Experience working in an international business, or ofparticipation in communications projects arising from integrating subsidiaries into central operations **WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU: ** Working at CoStar Group means you'll enjoy a culture of collaboration and innovation that attracts the best and brightest across a broad range of disciplines.
