Summary:

The Communications Manager at Vivint will manage all communications for our Field Operations team, including internal communication strategies, content creation, and guiding a communications team to success. This individual will collaborate with various departments, create compelling presentations, craft narratives that reflect the company culture, efficiently update the organization on changes, and ensure that all communications align with organizational goals, values, and culture.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage and lead internal communication strategies for Field Operations, ensuring consistent and clear messaging across all levels.Oversee content creation across various platforms, including digital, email, presentations, and video.Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans, including email campaigns, weekly field decks, Teams messages, videos, podcasts, and more.Create polished, visually engaging slide decks for internal presentations, using tools like Keynote and PowerPoint.Analyze communication metrics and data to assess effectiveness and recommend optimization strategies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives through clear, cohesive communication.Develop and manage content for Program Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly meetings, and assist partners in managing and creating their communication materials.Lead and coordinate the execution of the weekly deck to ensure timely and accurate messaging.Manage content across internal communication platforms (e.g., intranet, SharePoint) to ensure messaging is current and relevant.Respond to urgent issues swiftly, with well-planned communication responses.Support event and meeting logistics by handling basic audio-visual needs, including setup and troubleshooting of presentation equipment, microphones, and video conferencing tools.Lead the communications team, fostering collaboration and supporting team development and goals.

Required Skills, Experience & Education:

Required Skills:

Expertise in Keynote and PowerPoint with advanced presentation design skills.Proven ability to create and execute communication plans and lead internal communication strategies successfully.Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft resonating messages across diverse audiences.Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to manage a team and collaborate across departments.Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign) for creating or editing content.Basic video production and photo with editing skills for internal messaging.Data analytics and reporting experience to measure and optimize communication effectiveness.Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools.Experience building email marketing or drip campaigns.Expertise in building content calendars and rolling out communication campaigns across multiple channels.

Required Experience & Education:

5+ years of experience in communications or related fields.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications or a related field.

Preferred Skills, Experience & Education:

Familiarity with Figma for design collaborationExperience with Content Management Systems (CMS) like SharePoint or Wix.Familiarity with Canva for templated designs, Asana for project management, and Airtable is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:   

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
