The Position: The Marketing Communications Manager will be a key stakeholder in the development of the RPM Living annual communications strategy, responsible for managing various communications-related projects, programs, and activities. This role, is part of a team charged with establishing and maintaining the strategic approach for communication that consistently supports successful change management, is connected/aligned with company vision, generates associate, client and resident engagement and effects a high degree of understanding across relevant audiences.

Responsibilities

Communications:

Contribute to the development and execution of RPM Living’s annual communications strategy and overarching corporate marketing strategyManage company messaging platforms/channels, to include the utilization of our internal learning, knowledge management, and communications platform(s) to support communication strategies related to major corporate initiatives, campaigns, and programsPlan and execute project-specific communications strategies, plans and tactics for RPM internal and external initiatives, holding responsibility for all aspects of communications projects to include monitoring, tracking, and communicating project details with key stakeholdersPartner closely with corporate marketing teams (video, creative, social, reputation) and cross-functional teams to proactively drive messaging needs, cadences and channels, and the development and delivery of project resources, campaigns, graphics and more to express corporate initiatives and programs. Lead and execute a variety of writing projects and other duties related to marketing communications (email, presentation deck, script, news magazine)Partner with video team to proactively drive corporate video messaging to include storyboarding, concepting and scriptwritingManage and execute monthly communications calendar; contribute to omnichannel content planningContribute to the development and execution of strategy related to improving the overall user experience of our internal learning and communication platform(s)Serve as main point of contact for our teams (providing relevant training, resources, and recommendations) related to our internal learning, knowledge management, and communication platform(s)Handle various administrative duties related to our internal learning and communication platform(s)Drive consistency of the customer experience across all internal departments, regions and clients related to marketing support

Project Management:

Work cross-functionally with internal teams, clients, and vendors on projects from start to finish (project planning, scope of work, budgeting, scheduling priorities, allocating resources, collecting assets and deliverables, conflict resolution, management of workflow, etc.)Manage daily workflow and project priorities across multiple departmentsField ad hoc emails/requests from internal departments and other business leaders; review requests/content and provide strategy/recommendations as relevant to marketing and communications prioritiesCommunicate and present campaign information, deadlines, release dates, and results to internal and external project stakeholdersTroubleshoot and propose solutions when project or campaign prioritization conflicts arise, elevating issues when necessary for resolution

Business Intelligence:

Deliver insight on communications performance and ROI across the organization and marketing support offerings

Strategic Collaboration:

Develop and maintain partnerships with board members, executive leadership, operations and vendor partners to ensure company standards and vision are executed consistently across all channels and assetsCollaborate closely with senior leadership to synthesize organizational priorities with stakeholder objectives to produce alignment documents and creative briefs that support strategic campaign developmentMaintain a strong focus on generating new ideas through creative strategy. Continually research and make recommendations on new opportunities and communications channels
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of marketing strategies, branding, and communication principlesSkilled in organization and project management, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple communication campaigns concurrently with a high level of attention to detailAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to manage time effectively and meet deadlines for multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of project management programs like Monday.com a plusAbility to write and edit short- and long-form copy for a variety of audiencesKnowledge of the editorial planning processAbility to interpret data and campaign briefs into effective strategies

Education & Experience:

Three years in a marketing communications-related fieldExperience in marketing in the multifamily housing industry is a plusBachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English or related field. Experience can substitute for education

Physical Requirements:

May be required to sit for extended periods of timeMay occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 poundsMust be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipmentMust be able to read documents, computer screens and dataMust be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid role requiring the associate to be in one of our corporate offices at least four days a weekThe office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions Company Information
