Communications Manager (Hybrid)

JOB SUMMARY

\n

The Communications Manager will help foster effective communications and engagement among frontline caregivers and hospital staff across our DFW – West Region. Reporting to the System’s Director of Corporate Communications, this role will be primarily responsible for crafting and executing a multi-pronged employee engagement and internal communications strategy for region’s hospitals so that employees are informed and aligned to the System’s Mission, Vision and Strategy. The role will also work collaboratively with team members across the Marketing & Communications department and serve as the liaison for additional internal communications needs for the System’s North Texas facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

\n

Oversees all internal communications for the hospitals in the DFW – West Region to ensure regional alignment on employee communications.

This includes, but is not limited to:

\n\nAll-staff/physician communications\nLeadership communications\nBoard communications\nBSWconnect stories\nTownhall coordination\nHospital newsletters\n Implementation of new communications strategies (i.e. Viva Engage)\nVideo creation\n\n


Charged with curating and developing a multi-pronged employee engagement plan, utilizing best practices from highly engaged workforces and culture-driven companies.

\n

 

\n

Serves as communications liaison for DFW – West Region hospitals and supports local facility leaders (Presidents, CNOs, HRVPs, CMOs, COOs) on communications and engagement strategy development.

\n

 

\n

Monitors employee feedback, engagement surveys and sentiment to continually improve and enhance communications at the local level.

\n

 

\n

Assists in crisis communications efforts, working closely with System team members and hospital leadership to maintain transparency and effective communication during a crisis.

\n

 

\n

Embedded with each hospital leadership team to consult on internal communication tactics and on-site to support corporate-driven events as well as local initiatives/events.

\n

 

\n

Serves as a member of the hospital’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion council to support internal communications.

Advises senior leadership on communication approaches that enhance the hospital’s reputation, promotes its brand and aligns employees with strategic initiatives.

\n

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

\n

5+ years of internal communications experience, preferably with a focus in healthcare communications and working with hospital executives.

\n

Creative and motivated self-starter. High-accountability work ethic and attention to detail.

\n

Strong writer and storyteller. Graphic design and PowerPoint creation capabilities a plus. Aligns internal messaging with strategic direction and voice of the System.

\n

Strategic thinking and understanding of employee communication programs, engagement tactics and culture-driving initiatives.

\n

Ability to work independently and manage projects with medium oversight.

\n

Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with team members at all levels of the hospital and organization.

\n

Proficiency in common workplace applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and other web and email applications, as well as SharePoint, video applications and more.

\n

Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

\n

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

- EXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience

Hybrid expectation- onsite 3-4 days a week- travel required around Fort Worth, Irving, Grapevine
