**POSITION DETAILS**
CENTRO is seeking a full-time Communications Marketing Manager will participate in the development, coordination and execution of a comprehensive institutional communications strategy that resonates with both internal and external audiences, to raise brand awareness, and increase support for CENTRO. The person in this role will manage institutional strategy, maintaining CENTRO’s brand, creating marketing campaigns, creating social media content, producing a digital newsletter, writing copy for the website and providing strategic vision for overall communications. Interested candidates must show a demonstrated interest in CENTRO’s mission, as well as have a passion for collaborating with community members and organizations.
This position reporrts to the Exec. Dir of CENTRO.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Design and implement a marketing strategy that effectively communicates CENTRO's mission, values, and resources to diverse audiences.
+ Lead the establishment of a sustainable newsletter and social media strategy focused on storytelling and value delivery, while serving as the primary content manager for CENTRO’s website. Collaborate with IT to ensure timely website updates in alignment with communication campaigns.
+ Work closely with team leaders to create compelling marketing campaigns that promote organizational and programmatic goals.
+ Develop and execute a Public Relations strategy, working with the Press Coordinator to foster strong relationships with media outlets and enhance CENTRO’s visibility.
+ Partner with the Director to establish a strong institutional voice, positioning CENTRO as a thought leader and advocate within the community.
+ Supervise the brand and graphic design team, ensuring consistency and quality across all visual communications, including print and digital content.
+ Mentor and supervise the communications team, which includes a Communications Coordinator, Press Coordinator, Short-Form Content Creator, and interns, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
+ Monitor and manage the communications budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
+ Serve as a key liaison with Hunter Communications, CUNY communications, and other vital partners and stakeholders.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor’s degree required; a minimum of six years of related experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
- Preferred Skills:
- Proven experience in enhancing brand visibility and engagement through strategic communications.
- Expertise in creating content and managing print and digital media campaigns.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a talent for storytelling and simplifying complex ideas for diverse audiences.
- Ability to navigate complex political contexts through public communications.
- Strong commitment to and understanding of Puerto Rican history and culture, both in Puerto Rico and its diaspora.
- Passion for social justice, online advocacy, and digital strategic communications.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Experience with Asana, WordPress, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, ManyChat, and other relevant platforms.
**CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW**
Manages marketing and advertising initiatives to achieve specific marketing goals.
- Develops advertising programs consistent within overall marketing plans to achieve image, awareness and/or enrollment goals
- Implements programs in print, radio, broadcasting, mail, and electronic communications, coordinating with internal units and external service providers
- Actively manages and moderates electronic content and marketing tools for both College and external web sites and sources, including social networks, video portals, and listservs
-Develops, tracks, and reports on both advertising costs (budgets) and results to assure goals are met; collects and analyzes data on exposure, traffic, and other metrics
- May supervise staff and external service providers
- Performs related duties as assigned.

**COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**
Salary range 86,645-107,789. Salary offers commensurate with education and experience.
