Communications Officer

Sense International has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our team as our Communications Officer. This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week, across 4 days, working flexibly between home and our office in King's Cross, London.

The Communications Officer is an exciting role working closely with the Associate Director of Fundraising and Communications to support the global team. It presents a unique opportunity to join at a time of developing our communications strategy to increase our engagement with existing and new supporters and partners of our work both in the UK and across our international teams. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for our key communications functions including our digital and social channels, website, marketing and brand content and assets as well as a supporting role on our growing digital campaigns. You will be part of the wider fundraising team and will be vital in supporting our ambitious income growth over the next 3 years, as well as Sense UK communications and marketing teams supporting our work. 
 

Key Responsibilities includeManage and deliver a comprehensive Sense International communications plan to increase income generation and engagement from new supporters, aligned to the organisation’s goals and objectives. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the content, and make adjustments as necessaryManage the Sense International social media channels (including Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn), post content and engage with followersAnalyse and report on the performance of digital campaigns and review areas for optimisation across Social, SI website, as well as newsletter engagement activitySupport brand management by developing key marketing assets for Sense International and coordinating brand inductions for new startersWork with the Associate Director and the Sense Marketing team to produce the annual impact report, in particular identifying stories and support rewriting of copyOversee the digital communications inbox to ensure that the daily requests for support are actionedSupport the development and delivery of high-quality events, including virtual events, parliamentary meetings, fundraising events, conferences and webinarsKey skills and experienceExperience in managing corporate social media accounts including Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Instagram Experience in managing social media management software, such as Sprout SocialThe role requires someone with excellent writing skills, a keen eye for detail, creative flair for developing excellent marketing contentExcellent organisation and prioritisation skills and ability to use own initiativeThe ability to communicate and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and colleagues
