Introduction to role

Are you passionate about effective communication and patient advocacy? AstraZeneca Ireland is seeking an experienced Communications & Patient Engagement Manager to cover Mat Leave. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within our organization and champion the patient voice.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will work with the Head of Corporate Affairs to build and execute key strategic communications plans, encompassing internal, external, and brand communications. You will be responsible for managing multiple stakeholders and championing the patient voice. This role requires a proactive and creative individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Essential Skills/Experience

At least 7 years’ experience working in communications; for a large corporate or public sector, preferably in healthcareDegree level or equivalent qualification in communications or a related fieldExcellent stakeholder management, influencing skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersManagement of PR agencies and other external vendorsExperience of social media channels and engagementStrong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.Excellent skills in communication, encompassing the ability to develop strategic plans, as well as exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.Deep understanding of the Irish healthcare sectorCan effectively delegate and handle 3rd parties to deliver outputsAbility to motivate and lead in a multi-disciplinary, complex businessExperience of working with Irish media
