Job Description:
Communication
•Provides regular communication updates about changes to the ERP system.
•Assists with website development, content creation and upkeep.
•Coordinates and supports technical and logistical details for internal platforms to ensure messages reach intended audiences.
•Supports information/public relations campaigns and strategies as needed to enhance the dissemination of UF administrative information through a variety of UF audience channels.
•Adjusts communications to a wide variety of targeted audiences.
•Writes and edits content for other electronic media (UF at Work, other UF websites, etc.); designs and distributes using established communication channels.
•Develops graphics and materials in support of written communications.
•Develops scripts for videos and talking points and PowerPoint decks for presentations.
Analysis and strategy
•Strategically analyzes information for UF administrative websites and writes/edits for websites.
•Collaborates with staff to support event goals and objectives; develops and recommends event publicity and assets; and proposes resources needed to support execution of events.
•Conducts post-communications analysis to assess opportunities, makes recommendations for improving communications to internal and external constituencies, and implements recommendations as appropriate.
•Assists in event planning and management, volunteer coordination and logistics for annual Benefits & Wellness Fair, spring family/worklife expo and other wellness events.
•Performs other duties as assigned by the director or assistant director.
Administrative
•Establishes priorities and deadlines, provides meeting support, participates in office activities.
•Monitors Salesforce for incoming inquiries, responds or redirects as needed.
•Maintains and updates lists, prepares mailings, and performs data entry.
•Works with HR Communications team to ensure targeted communications are accurately managed and sent.
•Prepares routine documents, correspondence, spreadsheets, and reports.
•Assists in providing a positive organizational image to the general public and community.
•Responsible for maintaining an inclusive working environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.
•Performs other duties as assigned by the OCM Lead and Communications Lead
Expected Salary:
$60,000-65,000 or commensurate with experience
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic WordPress computer skills are essential and basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs, primarily Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro, as well as MS Word and PowerPoint.
Applicants must have excellent writing and oral communication skills and strong research skills. Detail-oriented, organized, and willing to perform a number of different tasks that may vary from day to day. A self-starter who is outgoing and enjoys working with others.
