University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) is dedicated to soliciting the private funding necessary to support the strategic goals of the University in teaching, learning, and research. The personnel of UDAR work university-wide as well as within individual schools and colleges of the University to discover, motivate, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, faculty, and friends for immediate, long-range, and future financial support, through gifts and pledges to the University, for critical operations such as student aid, faculty support, academic and research program development, and facilities and infrastructure. UDAR's endeavors raise funds for immediate University use and also for the University's endowment.
As part of NYU’s University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR), this role will ideate, write, review, and organize workflows to support communications related to fundraising and alumni relations on behalf of the Senior Vice President for UDAR. Partner with various offices to sequence and distribute all UDAR and trustee communications to ensure that the appropriate recipients are on the distribution lists and are informed in a timely manner. Partner with various UDAR constituents to develop talking points based on background materials, audiences, and goals of SVP meetings and presentations. Interact with University Leadership, Deans, and other internal and external constituents to research and create briefings for UDAR events and high-net worth donors and prospects.

QualificationsRequired Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience writing publications, editorial and copywriting, creation and project management of communications and marketing materials
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Google suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides)
Excellent content creation, writing, and editorial skills
Strong proofreading and database management skills
Ability to communicate sensitive information verbally and in writing to individuals at all levels
Ability to act in a professional and confidential manner with all levels of employees and outside groups
Ability to effectively respond to simultaneous requests and projects
Ability to take initiative, act independently, and manage various tasks
Must be comfortable working with high-level executive leadership

Additional InformationIn compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $72,000.00 to USD $88,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
