We seek a dynamic and experienced Internal Communications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining internal communication initiatives that engage and inform our employees. Additionally, the candidate will serve as a mentor and leader for more junior members of our team, overseeing projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will also need to quickly grasp Kimley-Horn’s culture and be able to communicate it effectively. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities Act as trusted advisor and project manager for internal clients to deliver information on tools and resourcesServe as a mentor and leader to more junior members of the teamStrengthen employee engagement through cultural initiatives and internal messagesDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the firmMeasure and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications tools and programs and adjust strategies as neededManage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are metMaintain internal communication guidelines to ensure consistent messaging and tone across all channels and for all clientsPrioritize and uphold the Kimley-Horn brand Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related fieldMinimum of four years of experience in internal communications or a related fieldExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding collaboration skillsStrong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlinesDemonstrated ability to maintain successful internal communications strategiesFamiliarity with content management systems – i.e., SharePoint, Sociabble, etc.Ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the firm Why Kimley-Horn?
