You will:

The Communications Specialist is an integral part of our talented, global Communications team, supporting our continued growth across all lines of business. This position reports to the Vice President, Internal and Employee Communications and based at our Stamford, CT World Headquarters.

Responsibilities Include:

• Serve as a coordinator for a variety of communications deliverables, reports and programs.
• Provide project assistance on high-profile communications assignments, such as the annual leadership meeting.
• Manage the digital signage program across PB. Working with communications teams, site leaders and vendor to ensure technology is working and content represents the Pitney Bowes brand.
• Research new communications technologies and tools for more effective team collaboration and improved communications.
• Be responsible for performing administrative tasks such as monitoring budgets, setting up video conferences, meeting arrangements. Specialist must have the ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities.
• Prepare presentations (writing and visual design), handouts, executive correspondence, as well as retain records in accordance with company policy.
• Serve as a proofreader for team members. Write/edit pieces for internal intranet.
• Partner with executive management and their assistants throughout the organization and with external clients, vendors, agencies and partners, domestically and internationally to move projects forward and represent internal communications.


Your background:

As a Communications Specialist, you have:

• Demonstrated ability to think like a communicator, including interest in targeting, messaging, positioning, creative development and analysis.
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Technology aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Confidence with new technology a plus.
• Acumen to handle complex situations and prioritize competing projects with attention to detail.
• Ability to interface globally with employees and management, as well as external clients, vendors and partners.

Required experience:
Experience in communications or video production a plus. Will be required to use company-platforms (intranet, digital signage, email tools). Success in this position include: Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrix environment partnering across disciplines and geographies; reasonable tolerance for ambiguity; excellent writing skills.
