Summary:

The Communications Specialist reports to the Manager, Communications. This position helps lead the marketing and communication efforts of Cook Children's Health Foundation, including those for major campaigns and events. The Communication Specialists primary focus will be on digital marketing and fundraising opportunities. This position works closely with members of the Foundation team, as well as Cook Children's Marketing and Public Relations (PR) departments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or related field is strongly desired.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related work experience.

Exceptional writing, leadership and time management and project management skills.

Experience with social media management, video production and editing and graphic design.

Ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and organized with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously while still meeting deadlines.

Must be able to conduct meetings, lead cross-departmental teams, as well as work independently.

This role requires a quick-learning team player that can perform cohesively within the Foundation team, as well as teams within marketing, public relations and creative services.

Must have a consistently positive and optimistic attitude, collaborative spirit and a talent for maintaining enthusiasm for projects.
