Communications Specialist
We are seeking a skilled **Communication Specialist** to join our team. You will create compelling content, manage internal and external communications, and engage with various stakeholders. **This role will be based out of Southfield, MI corporate office.** Join us with an attractive benefits offering: + Competitive pay + Medical, dental, and vision insurance + 401K with matching funds + Life Insurance + Employee discounts + Tuition Reimbursement + Student Loan Reimbursement **Key Responsibilities:** + **Content Creation:** Develop clear, engaging, and informative content for various platforms, including websites, newsletters, social media, and press releases. + **Strategy Development:** Collaborate with leadership to design and implement effective communication strategies aligned with organizational objectives. + **Media Relations:** Build and maintain relationships with media outlets; and coordinate press releases. + **Internal Communications:** Facilitate effective communication within the organization through newsletters, announcements, and other channels. + **Social Media Management:** Manage and grow the organization’s social media presence; create and curate content that engages followers. + **Event Support:** Assist in planning and promoting internal and external events, ensuring effective communication before, during, and after events. + **Monitoring and Reporting:** Track and analyze communication efforts and provide regular reports on effectiveness and engagement metrics. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Design, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. + Proven experience in communication or public relations roles. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Strong organizational and project management abilities. + Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools. + Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment + Working knowledge of graphic software – Adobe and Canva. **Preferred Skills:** + Familiarity with graphic design and multimedia content creation. + Experience in crisis communication. + Knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies.
