Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Communications Specialist to join our team! In this role you will help drive the company’s business objectives by implementing dynamic communications strategies across our vast market space.

What You'll Be Doing:

Provide strategic, holistic communications support to Parsons’ Defense & Intelligence business.

Assist in creation and dissemination of media and marketing materials, including press releases, backgrounders, talking points, web pages, and social media posts.

Support the trade show and events team in planning, messaging and executing marketing events.

Work with the graphic design team and business unit stakeholders to create high-impact, smart, and creative advertising and marketing collateral.

Proactively work with members of the defense media, building and maintaining relationships with key reporters.

Understand the scope and needs of the organization to help implement appropriate tactical communications approaches that highlight our people, capabilities, and differentiators.

Maintain brand strength and consistency.

Monitor and track media coverage, reporting on impact of media activity and recommending avenues to improve outcomes.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Experience working for or with the military, national security, or intelligence communities, including media relations experience in the defense market. 

Experience executing successful external, multi-channel communication and/or marketing campaigns.

2-4 years of experience in strategic communications, journalism, marketing, community relations, or public relations.

Ability to comprehend and explain complex capabilities and initiatives to audiences that have various levels of understanding.

Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, public relations, marketing, or a related field.

Familiar with AP Style.

Exquisite attention to detail, an eye for creativity, and willingness to challenge the status quo.

Exceptional analytical skills and ability to spot trends.

This position is fully remote but will be required to travel occasionally for meetings, trade shows, and other events.

Salary Range: 

$61,200.00 - $107,100.00
