Job Overview In support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) M Bureau Institutional Staff Support (MBISS) contract, the Communications Specialist provides advisory services to program teams in the creation and dissemination of communications activities and communications products. Salary Range: $65K -$75K Work Model: Onsite/In-Office Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: The Communications Specialist utilizes their skills and experience in support of more senior management and communications personnel to: Provide advisory services to program teams in the creation and dissemination of communications activities and communications products. Provide technical support to Bureau/Independent Office (B/IO) leadership and program teams, as necessary, to accommodate customer services standards. Support planning and execution of various events designed to promote Agency activities, products, and services. Tracks and provides drafting and editing support for taskers including Congressional reports taskings, Front Office taskings, briefers, info memos, scheduling requests, executive messages, and agency notices. Maintain timely and accurate records and status of tasks. Assist with developing communication strategies, in collaboration with leadership and program teams. Support overall webpage management. Strategically develops and disseminates communication materials to promote Agency activities and products in accordance with Agency messaging and branding guidance. Support general marketing and communication plans and campaigns. assists with creating outreach materials for Agency-wide distribution. Supports responses to customer feedback and engages in the development and implementation of customer service plans related to the communications function. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory: High School Diploma. Four (4) year degree in relevant course of study or Two (2) years relevant professional experience Able to pass Federal National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, email applications, and database applications. Experience using digital technologies for communications, including graphic design for print and online communications products. Ability to professionally interact with clients at all.
