We are looking for a Communities and Social Performance (CSP) Project Advisor to join our team, providing essential support for the Quebec and James Bay lithium exploration projects. This dynamic role will focus on community engagement, relationship-building, and cultural/environmental assessments, ensuring the success of our initiatives in the region.

What You Will Be Doing:
CSP Support: Provide ongoing CSP support to the exploration projects, managing the integration of community and social performance strategies.
Community Engagement: Directly engage with Cree communities to build trust and facilitate successful community consultations, permit submissions, and cultural/environmental assessments.
Fieldwork: Spend significant time on-site in remote locations, conducting fieldwork and fostering relationships with local communities.
Relationship Building: Proactively build and maintain long-term relationships with local Cree communities, ensuring that their voices are heard and integrated into the project lifecycle.
What You Bring To The Table:Cultural Competency: Strong understanding of Indigenous communities, especially the Cree Nation, and the ability to engage respectfully and effectively.
Language Proficiency: French-speaking proficiency is highly preferred, given the region and the nature of fieldwork.
Community Engagement Skills: Proven ability to build meaningful, long-term relationships with community stakeholders and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Adaptability: Ability to work independently in the field and adjust to a flexible, dynamic environment while also collaborating with internal teams.
Versatility: Comfort managing both strategic and operational tasks in a hands-on, field-based setting.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in CSP, community engagement, or a related field, ideally with a focus on Indigenous communities.
Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel regularly and participate in field rotations, especially to remote and isolated locations.
Grounded Approach: A "salt of the earth" mentality, with a practical and grounded approach to community engagement and a strong cultural competency.
Effective Communicator: Able to engage with non-academic individuals, including operations personnel, while building trust and fostering collaboration.
