Community Administrator

Join us!The Community Administrator for supportive living is responsible for the overall resident and staff satisfaction and financial viability of operations and leading and coordinating campus operations through the facilitation of department managers. The position assures that effective and timely communication is maintained with residents, staff, and Covenant Living central office staff and subject matter experts. Demonstrates ability to establish and facilitate multiple central office relationships and timelines. Accountable for the accomplishment of campus and central office goals and objectives and for assuring all corporate standards are maintained. In addition, the executive director is expected to proactively coordinate and facilitate initiatives as it relates to Covenant Living initiatives as applicable to the community. The position is responsible for creating a culture where leaders and staff succeed. The executive director is the role model for campus leadership and acts as community representative to the local, business, professional, and religious community and is actively committed to community outreach and awareness of needs in the local community.

Community and Business Leadership

Set spiritual tone for campus staff and residents, to ensure that the atmosphere and environment reflects the Covenant Living mission.Communicate and sustain the campus and corporate vision and direction required to assure a vibrant, well operated, fiscally responsible campus.Maintain a caring and concerned atmosphere so residents and families are satisfied with life on campus.Develop and maintain basic understanding and working knowledge of all campus departments in order to coordinate and integrate all functions.Manage, through direct involvement, an ongoing program to assure occupancy is achieved at all levels of care as defined through the annual operating plan.Oversee, monitor and assure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and guidance.Secure and maintain a clear understanding of local competition physical plant, services and programs, sales and pricing strategies.  Understand marketing by conducting annual visits to competitors.In collaboration with the clinical leadership, monitor supportive living to assure compliance with all federal, state and other governing agencies' requirementsAdminister corporate policies and procedures for all aspects of campus operations.  These include human resources policies, wage and salary administration, safety and risk management policies, accounting policies, purchasing, disaster plan, etc., in accordance with established policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.Responsible for the process and preparation of the annual operating plan/budget and integrated strategic planning process in accordance with established guidelines.Monitor monthly financial statements to assure the campus remains in a fiscally sound position and consistent with the parameters established through the operating plan.  Responsible for establishing and implementing margin improvement plans as necessary. Assure the campus plant and grounds are maintained in a clean, orderly and safe manner in compliance with regulatory agency requirements.Through the ISP (Integrated Strategic Planning) process, identify campus specific strategies that address the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the campus, as well as, have the potential to impact the corporate strategic direction.Assure that the campus complies with all federal, state and local regulatory agencies including corporate compliance and HIPAA requirements.

People Leadership

Develop a positive employee relations climate which will engage and retain employees who are highly committed to the mission, goals and objectives of the organization. Actively communicate, support and reflect the customer service programHire, lead, motivate, evaluate, counsel and terminate key employees including department managers.Maintain established staffing levels by ensuring timely hiring of qualified employees

Local Community Relationship

Maintain involvement in local and state professional and service organizations, as well as in community outreachMaintain active communication and coordination with local Covenant churches 

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

Required Degree:   Bachelor’s degree

Certificate(s):

Preferred:  state license in level of care on campus

Experience: 

3-5 Years experience in senior living healthcare; supportive living experience preferred3+ years experience in senior care community with proven leadership5+ years experience in directly leading teams3-5 years managing a physical building, including dining operations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

Ability to lead and implement multiple priorities across communityHigh level of relationship with all in community – residents, families, employees, visitorsExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenStrong knowledge of regulations regarding supportive livingStrong collaboration with central office functional leaders
