Community Advancement Coordinator

**Overview**
Responsible for the coordination of community health and well-being programs with a focus on Fairview food access and food justice programs. Manages day to day logistics, promotion, improvement, and evaluation. Works to ensure our programs meet the needs of the communities we serve, are culturally appropriate, and build trust with our partners and stakeholders. Delivers culturally responsive follow-up and resources around food and our current program offerings to clinics, providers, and community partners. Assists with food access program implementation and acts as key stakeholder in Food is Medicine strategy. Has a deep understanding of local food system and can act as a main point of contact for partners to offer, onboard, and coordinate food programming.
**Responsibilities Job Description**
+ Develops and distributes promotional and educational materials to key stakeholders, prospective participants, partner agencies, and the community at-large.
+ Stays informed of current community health issues and trends, including evidence-based research, local and statewide needs, health disparities, and cultural competencies in order to contribute meaningfully to program development.
+ Provides an optimal and engaging customer experience to all.
+ Assists with preparation of grant applications and reports for Community Advancement programs.
+ Responsible for relationship management tracking in Salesforce, including data entry support.
+ Provides administrative support as needed.
+ Contributes to a culture of improvement and innovative thinking.
+ Serves as a resource and source of information for clinics and partner organizations
+ Coordinate outreach for community facing, food access programs including East Side Table and Fairview’s presence at community events, schedule of classes and activities, and gathering opportunities
+ Works with team members to maintain and update websites, social media, event calendar, and other communication channels as needed
+ Manages engagement and education event calendar including class instruction and facilitation as needed
+ Helps to identify and onboard contractors for food programming including instructors, caterers, and event staffing
+ Tracks expenses and implements programming within budget
**Qualifications**
Required
+ Associate’s degree or equivalent (2 years) experience in community engagement or project managemen
+ 1-3 years community relations, public health, health promotion or related fields
+ Marketing and logistics management, preferably in event or program management
+ Experience in developing positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
+ Excellent organizational and communications skills
+ Exposure or experience with local food systems
Preferred
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
+ 3-5 years program management experience
+ 3 years in community engagement or health programs
+ Experience with evaluation process and survey tools

**Compensation Disclaimer**
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
