Do you love working with seniors? Join the team at JABA! Our Community Center Supervisor is a community leader that is an integral part of supporting and promoting an amazing group of seniors. You may ask yourself what our program does to be such an important part of our community? JABA's Community Centers promote health aging by preventing social isolation, promoting physical activities, encourage heathy eating, provides fun social activities, and wellness education. What we ask of our supervisor: + Promote the Community Senior Center within the community. + Supervise the operation of the Community Center. + Collaborate with other JABA departments, community boards and groups to achieve specific short or long-term goals. Complete performance monitoring for program. + Enter monthly data into web based data management system as well as complete program performance monitoring. + Hire, train and supervise daily activities of Activity Assistant in the respective Community Senior Center program. + Maintaining an engaging programming environment and recruiting new participants. + Health promotion and disease prevention programming + Overseeing nutritional programs with guidance from our nutritionist. + Strong ability/Creativity to create activity calendars Skills that we value in our supervisor: + Strong communications skills to include being comfortable speaking in front of and interacting with our seniors, volunteers, interns, community partners (such as Jaunt) and guest that may visit/interact with the center. + Comfortable with a fast paced and flexible environment + Intermediate/Advanced understanding of Office 365, Zoom, etc. Work Schedule: 8:30am-4pm Monday-Thursday in office, Friday work from home potential.
