The Division of Administration/Office of Community Development has a vacancy.

This vacancy participates in a career progression group and may be filled from this recruitment as a Community Development Program Specialist 1 (AS-613), Community Development Program Specialist 2 (AS-615) or Community Development Program Specialist 3 (AS-616) depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant. The maximum salary for the Community Development Program Specialist 3 is $ 85,883 . Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of experience in community development, contracts or grants management, urban or regional planning, disaster recovery, or legal research; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Examples of Work
Researches federal and state funding sources and provides technical assistance to state and local governments to train them in applying for, receiving, and implementing new programs.
Performs interagency coordination of state and federal programs having shared/common goals.
Assists in the monitoring and evaluation of local governments grant programs.
Aids in the research of federal and state funding sources and helps provide technical assistance to state and local governments to train them in applying for, receiving, and implementing new programs.
Assists in reviewing Requests for Payment submitted by local governing bodies.
Assists in evaluating and reviewing applications from local governing bodies for housing and/or infrastructure projects.
Assists in evaluating and writing performance letters to mayors and police jury presidents regarding ongoing projects.
