ChristianaCare is hiring a fulltime Community Educator for our Hosptial Violence Intervention Program that is based out of both Newark, DE and Wilmington, DE.

Community Health Workers promote access to services and provide health education while advocating, facilitating, and organizing access to services to improve the well-being of community members. This role serves individuals and families impacted by community violence.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday: 8:00am - 4:30p

Rotating locations between Newark Hospital and Avenue North (Wilmington, DE).

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

One year of community and patient experience required.

Computer experience required.

Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations required.

Bi-lingual language skills are a plus.

Experience with mental health and/or substance use field a plus.
