Change Grow Live Manchester is an integrated drug and alcohol service providing a range of interventions and treatment options for people experiencing problems with substance misuse, regardless of substance or age.
We have an exciting opportunity for a committed individual to support out Greater Manchester services as a Community Engagement Courier. You will work with our existing teams in Tameside and Manchester, to support with the efficient delivery of prescriptions and other clinical items to locations across the boroughs of Tameside and Manchester. This will include organising items for delivery, planning routes to optimise travel time, and building positive relationships with our stakeholders.
You will be provided with a full induction, training, and supervision. We support all staff with their ongoing learning and development.
Where: Manchester & Tameside
Hours: Part Time, 22.5 hrs per week,
Contract Type: Fixed Term contract for 12 months (days and times to be determined)
Salary: £13,950.88 - £14,680.19 based on 22.5 hours per week, (£23,400.00 - £24,466.99 Full Time Salary Pro Rata) CGL Scale 17-19 Depending on experience.
ResponsibilitiesAbout the role:
To collect and deliver clinical items including but not limited to prescriptions, nicotine replacement therapies, vaping equipment, blood products, across Tameside and ManchesterSecurely packing goods into the agreed delivery vehicle in an organised manner that matches the order in which the deliveries will be madeTo ensure all clinical items and prescriptions are stored securely during transitWork flexibly across operational sites within an agreed number of hours as required, maintaining the most appropriate level of service provisionTo work towards developing the role with the appropriate support to include possible service user interventions, including Carbon Monoxide testing, prison gate pick-ups, inpatient rehab/detox visits

Good People skills and willingness to work flexibly as part of a teamA clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality servicesExperience of working in a customer service environmentAbility to coordinate delivery routes around Greater ManchesterBasic knowledge of handheld devices and relevant electronic applicationsGood awareness of confidentiality, data protection and security of goodsSome knowledge, or willingness to learn about, safeguarding and how to escalate concernsKnowledge of local services and geographyA full UK driving license, Business Insurance and access to vehicle is required for this roleWhat we will give to you:
