Community Engagement Intern (Unpaid)

BACKGROUND:

SCOPE OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT VOLUNTEER WORK: 
This position is located within New Jersey Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration (RAI). The Community Engagement Intern will work closely with the Community Engagement Manager in the Development and Communications Department at RAI. This is an unpaid position that requires a minimum of 15 hours a week. Fully remote position.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Assist with volunteer and intern recruitment and onboarding processes 

Compile and post volunteer descriptions as needed  

Assist in managing volunteer and intern timesheets and timesheet entries each month. 

Assist in maintaining accurate, up-to-date data across pertinent databases 

Collect and record community engagement prospect information 

Attend community engagement events and information sessions 

Assist with community engagement, external communications, and in-kind donations-related tasks as needed  

Conduct outreach, networking activities, and other advertising to recruit and educate volunteers and partners as needed.
