The clinical department at Venture Forthe focuses on HCBS (Home and Community Based Services)/CORE (Community Orientation Recovery and Empowerment Services) programs under the direction of the Office of Mental Health.
The goal of the CORE/HCBS program derives around the focus of increased behavioral health and addiction recovery through an outpatient system. This includes providing clients with the tools, resources, and skills they can utilize to help in their recovery journey. We can proudly say that we have helped our clients reach milestones such as obtaining a higher education degree, grow relationships with friend and family members and regain the ability to be fully independent in the community.
The Community Mental Health Provider will be involved in recovery-oriented activities and interventions that support and restore social and interpersonal skills necessary to help individuals reach their goals during their recovery. The Community Mental Health Provider will help increase or sustain community tenure, enhance interpersonal skills, establish support networks, increase community awareness, develop coping strategies and effective functioning in the individual’s social environment such as home, work, and school. The Community Mental Health provider assist support an individual with developing social skills (i.e., conversation and listening skills), wellness (i.e., meal planning), and personal care (i.e., managing finances).

Requirements Rehabilitation counseling to support and restore social and interpersonal skills necessary to increase or sustain community tenure, establish support networks, increase community awareness, develop coping strategies, and effective functioning in the individual’s social environment such as home, work, and school.Rehabilitation counseling including recovery activities, interventions, and support necessary for the individual to implement learned skills so the person can remain in a natural community location.Assisting the individual with effectively learning adaptive behaviors responding to or avoiding identified precursors such as cravings or triggers that result in relapse or functional impairments.All components include additional job duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:
No license requiredOne year experience supporting people in the Mental Health field or Substance Abuse recoveryKnowledge in the following areas is preferred: disability accommodations and assistive technologies and services, DSS/SSI, Transportation and Housing Access, and Community SUD resources.CUSTOMER SERVICE/INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
