Community Outreach Coordinator Corporate Intern
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Community Outreach Coordinator Intern to join our team. This internship provides a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community engagement, recruitment, event planning, market research, and public relations. The intern will assist in developing and implementing outreach strategies to promote our organization's mission and services within the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Performs operational and administrative functions as assigned + Assist in developing and executing community outreach programs and initiatives. + Compiles information from various sources; updates guides, spreadsheets and correspondence + Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, and partners. + Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and informational sessions. + Create and distribute promotional materials to raise awareness about the organization and its initiatives. + Collect and analyze data on program impact and community needs. + Report on program outcomes and provide recommendations for future initiatives. + Provides project support to team as directed + Utilizes applicable education, training and experience to complete assignments + Performs other duties as assigned/necessary Minimum Requirements: + Currently enrollment in an undergraduate program in applicable major + Quick and accurate Alpha/numeric data entry skills + Computer proficiency, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Web enabled applications required + Excellent work ethic and commitment to job responsibilities + Enthusiasm for community engagement and making a positive impact. + Must be a self-starter, with ability to work well as part of a team and independently + Present a positive image that reflects well on the organization + Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required What We Offer: + Opportunity to gain practical experience in community outreach and public relations. + Exposure to various aspects of event planning and program management. + Mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals. + Networking opportunities with community leaders and organizations.
