Kimley-Horn's Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) office is seeking a Land Planner with 4+ years of experience to join their Community Planning team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

Project experiences will be diverse, as we provide services to both the public and private sectors. You will perform a variety of tasks, supporting various project managers and collaborating with team members. Responsibilities may include:

Land use/comprehensive planningUrban designCommunity redevelopmentPrivate sector entitlementsZoning/development codes, design guidelinesEvaluate development proposals to identify compliance with zoning regulationsPrepare planning and land use studies and varied technical information Perform zoning, land use and urban design evaluation to identify development projects sitesCommunity and public outreach Qualifications Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Urban and Regional Planning (or other degree applicable to the planning field)4+ years of directly related experienceAmerican Institute of Certified Planner (AICP) Certification PreferredStrong writing/verbal skillsWorking knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator)Working knowledge of GIS/ArcViewExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsPositive attitude and a strong work ethicStrong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlinesDetail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentAbility to work independently and as a team Why Kimley-Horn?
