Coordinates programs and services that affect the lives of children, childcare providers, parents, and/or adults dependent on the needs of the program and it’s targeted audience.

Job Description

Coordinates the logistical implementation of assigned projects, and adheres to program actions and deliverables based on program grants when relevant. Manages multiple concurrent projects and/or priorities. Oversees the entire implementation of program including, but not limited to: coordination of meetings, participants, marketing materials, and corresponding communications, articles, maintenance of curriculum, networking within participating facilities if needed. Provide facilitation when applicable. May expand responsibilities in overseeing other team members associated with providing education within the program to ensure proper procedures are followed. Establishes project plans that identify, communicate, and track tasks and deliverables to meet goals/objectives. Evaluates key metrics related to project goals/objectives. Assesses and monitors potential or actual problems and implements resolutions needed for successful outcome. The Community Programs Specialist ensures program are in compliance with contract expectations to ensure program implementation success. Develops and maintains documentation pertinent to specific projects. Ensure community participants associated with designated programs remain compliant within guidelines. Provide accurate and appropriate tracking and documentation for federal guidelines. Ability to follow up when participants not meeting guidelines. Tracks inventory and completes office supply ordering related to program specifications. Coordinates purchases of resources for department and special projects. Utilizes interdependence in the workplace and on work projects within the department. Demonstrates accountability to follow-through on departmental work assignments. Establishes and maintains good interpersonal relationships with internal and external contacts. Serves as resource and responds to customer needs in a timely fashion. Respects and maintains confidentiality. Demonstrates ability to utilize multiple software applications. Work hours vary according to department and client needs. May be required to work evenings and/or weekends.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. In lieu of degree, leadership may consider six years equivalent work experience.

Experience in presentation/in group settings preferred.

May require certification/licensure as required by profession and program specification. If not certified at the time of hire, the candidate must actively pursue and satisfactorily complete the required certification within the first year of employment. Dependent on needs of the program and geographical participants, may require a valid driver’s license Must maintain good driving record.
