ChildServe is hiring a Community Services Supervisor. This service leader will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Community Services, including Respite and Supported Community Living programs. The role will also ensure a therapeutic, healthy and safe environment for the children, parents and staff as well as be responsible for quality assurance and compliance for all programs under responsibility.
Schedule General business hours Monday - Friday between 8am-5pm, can vary if needed.
What You’ll Do • Participate in intake/referral/admission/recertification process of children receiving community services. • Assist in the implementation of care plans for children. Ensure staff follow all aspects of the care plan including nursing, therapy, and behavior support. • Ensure the daily and other necessary communication with families occurs accurately in a timely, consistent, and professional manner. Correspond with families to identify service, scheduling and attendance needs. • Ensure consistent, timely, and accurate completion of care documentation based on individual care plans and according to regulatory standards. • Provide direct care or on call support as needed. • Recruit, select, and hire qualified direct care staff. Ensure staff meet Waiver/DHS requirements, maintain on site records, and monitor staff training compliance. • Provide consistent onboarding of all staff and ensure they are properly trained to perform the essential functions of their position according to organizational standards, licensing regulations, accreditation requirements and best practice. • Schedule staff in accordance with established staffing models and census patterns and ensure accurate staff pay. • Supervise the teams through effective implementation of service activities, consistently monitor and evaluate service delivery, and provide effective modeling, coaching, and performance management. Promote engagement and satisfaction to drive retention. Collaborate with management team to identify opportunities for improvement. • Ensure positive, respectful interactions between children, fellow staff, and families to promote an inclusive work culture. • Schedules children within authorization limits. • Complete and maintain service and financial agreements with all families based on funding. • Completes assigned weekly and monthly status reports, and quality assurance processes. • Ensures documentation is completed accurately and forwarded timely for billing of services provided.
What You’ll Need • Required: Bachelor’s degree required with emphasis in education, human services, or relevant field preferred. Equivalent combination of related experience and education considered. • Required: Minimum of one year supervisory experience • Experience in Respite and SCL services. Experience working with children/young adults with special health care needs is preferred. Equivalent combination of related experience and education considered. • Must have current valid Iowa Driver’s license. May be required to obtain chauffeur license. Ability to become an approved driver and maintain a driving record that meets facility and insurance approval. • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, and ability to proficiently learn new software programs. • Ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing and speaking the English language Not sure if you hit 100% of the position expectations?
