Corning’s Center of Excellence (COE) Compensation & Benefits is looking for a Compensation Analyst to support the Americas compensation team.
The role will focus on providing operational and analytical Compensation support to Corning’s Compensation team in the Americas region and its HR and business customers. However, in this multi-regional team, you may be asked to support other regions too. You will be based in Corning NY, United States.
Role Purpose
The purpose of this position is to provide operational and analytical compensation support to Corning’s Compensation team and its HR and business customers. This position is focused on, but not limited to, the Americas region to ensure that:
COE programs/processes/policies support the attraction and retention of the number and type of talent required to execute corporate strategy. COE programs/processes/policies establish and reinforce Corning Values and positive work environment, while complying with all legal and regulatory requirements. COE key stakeholders fully understand the value, benefit, and use of COE programs/processes/policies. Ensures standards, policies, and guidelines are understood and consistently applied. Financial decisions and recommendations support top quartile cost performance objectives while maintaining appropriate levels of HR service delivery Compensation programs are aligned with Corning’s overall Total Reward philosophy and framework. Role Responsibilities Develop excellent working relationships with Business Unit HR (BUHR), Shared Services, and other HR COEs. Works with other team members on the completion of annual salary survey submissions and analyzing data and developing recommendations provided for creation of annual salary ranges. Assists other Compensation COE team members with annual compensation processes for both salaried and union free hourly workforces by providing testing, business and plant HR training, and end process data analysis. Provides adhoc compensation analysis work when requested by BUHR or COE (e.g., total compensation analysis for salaried positions, compensation program survey completion, compensation cost analysis for project initiatives and employee retention, etc.). Become an expert in U.S. salaried compensation wage analysis, processes, and procedures. Responsible for coordination of President’s Sales Club & Circle for the corporation to include annual process review, employee eligibility identification, program kick-off and training, answering questions from BUHR, and award distribution. Obtains functional knowledge of Corning’s compensation programs, including compensation philosophy and corporate framework, employee payment processes, and best practices. Assists other team members in Corning’s global pay equity process, including employee data compilation and submission, corporate analysis and report out, employee adjustment recommendations, implementation of final adjustments and employee statement creation. Obtains functional knowledge related to compensation in areas of compliance, legal, and audit. Ensures that the governance and administration of various compensation programs comply with established guidelines, processes, and procedures. Implements/delivers new programs or trainings to our business HR units. Partners with the COE Communications Manager to develop training/communication materials. Experiences/Education - RequiredFor this role we are looking for a proven professional with 1-3 years’ experience in the Compensation or Benefits area, or related experience in finance or human resources conducting detailed data analyses and managing projects.
Bachelor's Degree You have worked with and understand the importance of HRIS systems (we work with SuccessFactors) and other compensation applications/vendors. You are a high-energy and result-focused team player with proven analytical, MS Excel, and communication skills, who is inquisitive, able to learn quickly and keen to throw yourself into new experiences.

The range for this position is $67,179.00 - $92,372.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
