ResponsibilitiesJob Purpose
The Compensation Analyst plays a strategic role in support and implementation of global compensation programs. This position executes the strategic direction of Total Rewards in areas of base pay, variable pay, and other incentive programs, ensuring competitiveness to market and alignment with the Company mission.
Key Accountabilities
Salary Administration: Proactively review salary survey positions and fulfill salary survey requests. Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive and equitable compensation recommendations. Provide coverage, advice and support of other staff within the dept. as it respects the delivery of compensation functions.Job Analysis: Interviews employees and/or managers to gather and document job information including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job. Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range. Maintains a library of job level information for each position in the organization.Incentive Pay Administration: Assists in the design and administration of corporate incentive programs, including executive compensation.Market Analysis: Gathers information and prepares compensation surveys as needed, conducts related analysis, research competitive market practices, using data analysis techniques, recommends enhancements based on cost/benefit analysis and benchmarking. Keeps abreast of applicable state and federal regulations.General Compensation: Actively supports the planning of the annual compensation review and calendar, salary planning process and system, and input for same. Assist in preparing year-end reporting to the Board of Directors.Other: Proactively assess inter-company collaboration with Accounting, Treasury and Payroll to provide regular and timely data points as needed. Work with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and implement new approaches, policies and processes to effect continual improvements and efficiency in compensation programs. Bachelor’s Degree 3+ years compensation related experienceDeep knowledge of compensation regulationsKnowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodsProficient in Excel
