*D.R. Horton, Inc.*is currently looking for a*_Compensation Analyst_*. The right candidate will assist in building the Compensation function to be a proactive business partner and resource to all business units. The role will research job requirements and evaluate job positions to assist management in addressing compensation ranges to be competitive in the area of employee compensation and will assist in the maintenance of a catalog of accurate Job Descriptions.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Regularly benchmark positions to ensure alignment with market, advising management when discrepancies are found
* Participate in salary surveys, and update compensation systems with results
* Review proposals for new/revised jobs and generate job descriptions ensuring they accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
* Transition current Job Description catalog to new document format
* Perform minimum wage audits to ensure compliance with state/county/city minimum wage requirements.
* Maintain and audit compensation data within HRIS system to ensure accuracy of data
* Assist with the Annual Merit Cycle by providing reporting and importing approved increases into PeopleSoft
* Perform research for special projects and remain current on industry trends and regulatory requirements
* Provide reporting to the field on compensation trends and metrics as needed
* Review and maintain knowledge of company structure
* Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
* Regular, reliable, and full attendance
* Meet tight deadlines
* Work additional hours as needed for coverage, projects, and/or deadlines
* Produce work product in a high stress environment
* Additional duties as assigned
*Education and/or Experience*
* Bachelor's degree or 2 years of experience working directly in Human Resources or combination of education and years of experience.
* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
* Understand Internal Audit requirement with regards to compensation changes
* Advanced Excel skills
* Possess exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to focus under pressure and comfortable meeting tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
* Proficiency with MS Office and email
* Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
* The noise level is generally moderate
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience with Payscale/Payfactors, CompAnalyst compensation tools a plus
* Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently to balance competing deadlines
* Experience working in the construction and/or mortgage industry a plus
Schedule : Hybrid (In-office Wednesday and 2 other days, 8 hr range between 7:30am and 6PM, to be determined, after a period of in-office training)
