**Position Title:** Compensation Analyst I or II

**Position Purpose:**
Supports the administration and maintenance of compensation programs to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness. Responsibilities include assisting with pay calculations, job evaluations, and market analyses, maintaining data accuracy, and preparing documentation for compensation activities. This role provides foundational support for managers and Talent Acquisition, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and equity standards. Through attention to detail, accurate reporting, and adherence to compliance, this position supports equitable compensation practices and contributes to the cooperative’s success.
**Essential Duties**
+ Assists with base pay structures, salary surveys, market equity studies, and merit planning.
+ Prepares basic pay calculations for job offers, promotions, and salary adjustments following established guidelines.
+ Collaborates with managers to gather data for updating job descriptions.
+ Supports the collection and submission of salary survey data and budget surveys.
+ Assists with FLSA audits and pay equity assessments to ensure compliance with policies.
+ Gathers data for cost models, reports, and dashboards to support decision-making.
+ Supports Talent Acquisition with job description reviews and pay calculation documentation.
+ Provides routine assistance with compensation-related systems and workflows.
**Qualifications** **:**
**Compensation Analyst I**
+ Bachelor’s degree in in Finance, Statistics or Business, or a related field; or
+ Associates degree in in Finance, Statistics or Business, or a related field; and 2 years related experience dealing with quantitative and qualitative data.
**Compensation Analyst II**
+ Bachelor’s degree in in Finance, Statistics or Business, or a related field and 3 years of related experience; or
+ Associates degree in in Finance, Statistics or Business, or a related field; and 5 years related experience dealing with quantitative and qualitative data.
**Other Requirements:**
+ Strong organization, good communication and analytic skills.
+ Basic to intermediate Excel skills.
+ A valid driver’s license is required.

**Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:**
This position requires extended periods of stationary work, occasional moving about the office, and frequent use of a computer. Physical demands include occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. This role requires the ability to work under deadlines and maintain attention to detail; and communication skills to accurately exchange information and develop skills under supervision. Occasional travel may be required.
