Purpose Contribute to and participate in the design, analysis, and administration of the company's compensation strategy and programs, including base and incentive pay and performance management programs. Ensure competitive and equitable pay practices are executed and adhered to. Responsibilities Leadership and Direction Receive general instruction on key objectives for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially complex assignments, modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria. Work is completed using advanced techniques and principles and is reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound professional judgement. May review work produced by junior staff for quality assurance. At the Operational and Company Level Assist HR leaders and senior management in the development and implementation of compensation strategies and programs. Work closely with business leaders, Recruiting, HR Business Partners, and Finance to provide interpretation on compensation challenges and recommend solutions. Do the Work Interview and survey employees and management to gather and document job, organizational, and occupational information including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job. Contribute to preparing job analysis working session/workshop materials and resources. Prepare and present summary reports of job and compensation analysis information. Prepare and maintain job descriptions, ensuring compliance with federal and state wage laws (including FLSA). Assist with preparation of compensation and/or stock-plan related reports, insights and analysis for Executives, Board Members, Finance, HR, Legal and Payroll as needed. Perform market pricing for new roles and provide recommendations for candidate offers, partnering closely with the Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners. Actively contribute to building and/or creating new reports, trackers, and databases related to compensation. Investigate and process job and/or salary actions; determine when requested exceptions are appropriate, seeking input from HR management on sensitive issues. Respond in a timely manner to questions from employees regarding their compensation and equity. Administer the annual salary review process. Prepare, distribute, monitor, and review salary planning worksheets. Create and distribute training and communication materials. Participate in and gather data from market-based compensation surveys; use spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends. Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for positions. Evaluate market and economic trends and recommend adjustments to salary ranges, geographic differentials, merit, and promotion budgets. Assist in evaluating and implementing job analysis instruments and materials. Work with the HR team on other projects and initiatives. Basic understanding of financial reports and metrics. Data analysis and interpretation skills. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or comparable program. Three or more (3+) years of progressive experience in the administration of compensation programs. CCP, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or HRCI certification preferred. Proficient using UKG Pro (UltiPro) or similar HRIS platform. Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Extensive knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the human resources compensation field and a solid understanding of compensation practices and trends. Advanced knowledge of Excel - able to create, modify and troubleshoot complex formulas, pivot tables and macros. Physical Demands and Working Environment Eligible for Hybird work schedule - 3 days in office. Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic. Mobility around an office environment. Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds. Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.
