Compensation and Benefits Analyst

As Compensation and Benefits Analyst at Micron Technology, Inc. for Americas, you will be responsible for regional support of Micron’s compensation and benefits programs with primary focus on Mexico. You will work under the direction of the Compensation and Benefits Managers. You will also be responsible for supporting continuous improvement of compensation and benefits program and assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of the programs globally. You will help to evaluate Microns reward competitiveness and alignment to the company’s business strategy and culture. You will partner, collaborate and consult with key customers and HR stakeholders globally.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Conduct New Job Analysis and Maintain Job Inventories

Interview manager or business partner to identify job descriptionDetermine best match by researching against current job library and other third party survey benchmark jobsIdentify justification if a new job is needed (business, geographic, regulatory, population size)Determine recommended actions and propose to managerCreate new job and update all reference material

Establish and Maintain Pay Ranges

Submit and collect data through third party market surveysEvaluate job matches to market for validity and analyze dataMake recommendations for change to ranges based on comp philosophy and strategyConsult with Executives and business partner to validate rangesPerform continued evaluation

Ensure Regulatory Compliance

Establish and maintain personal understanding of regulationsConsult with internal and external experts to verify understanding and determine application of compliance regulationIdentify liabilities and recommend and implement solutionsImplement, communicate, and maintain on-going compliance processes where applicable

Consult, Educate and Manage Relationships with Customers

Identify, clarify and research customer needs and address program questionsEvaluate and critique options to determine a solution to best fit customer needs and align to business objectives (education/consultation/advising), and budgetDevelop and review proposed solution and cost modeling with necessary internal experts and stakeholdersCreate and provide compensation and benefits training to managers and team members regularlySolicit process feedback from global customers and peers and implement improvementsCommunicate and build relationships and credibility with key contacts (site leaders, area leaders, business partners, executives)

Produce and Analyze Compensation & Benefits Reports

Determine needs, design, generate, maintain and distribute reports as needed to key stakeholdersAnalyze, interpret and present results to appropriate stakeholdersComplete modeling scenarios, develop recommendations and generate evaluation summaries based on dataCollaborate and support Micron’s GBM Partner for Mexico Benefit Program Renewals, updates, and changes

Maintain Compensation & Benefits Data and Systems

Receive, evaluate, process and audit data change request and resultsUpdate, troubleshoot and correct system errors as neededPerform detailed, global system testingEnsure data integrity in existing systemsEscalate issues to appropriate party(s) and validate issue resolution

Projects

Participate on project teams as a representative of the compensation & benefits services and act as a Mexico subject matter expert to provide counsel, advice and support

Manage Compensation & Benefits Programs

Develop and maintain program documentation and team member reference materialsSupport Mexico team member onboarding/offboarding  activities relating to compensation and benefit programsEnsure compliance to current plansEvaluate program for inefficiencies and areas for improvementSuggest changes to improve current programWork with stakeholders to identify and implement needed plan changesBenchmark current compensation and benefits practices on a regular cadence and as requested for continuous improvementGather and review employee and/or management feedback, current and future needs and industry trendsCommunicate and coordinate changes with impacted personnel team members, vendors, and management

                          

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in related fieldMust have advanced Microsoft Excel SkillsPowerPoint and Word proficiencyMinimum of 5 years Compensation & Mexico Benefits experience

Preferred

CCP or GRP designationProficiency in English, Spanish (Spoken and written)
