Compensation and Benefits Officer

To provide administrative support to the C&B Manager on payroll processing, benefits administration, billing and vendor payments, government statutory submissions, last pay processing, and annual tax filing requirements. Your work will be of utmost importance since the correct processing and distribution of benefits is vital for employee retention and satisfaction.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll Processing

Send out bi-weekly payroll reminder on submission of data to C&B teamPrepare payroll instruction containing new joiners, SSS benefits for payout, loan deduction implementation, long-service awards, one-time-payments, etc., then send to C&B Manager for approval prior sending to the payroll vendorPerform initial review of the payroll calculation made by the vendor then send to C&B Manager and Finance for final review and uploadEnsure accuracy of government mandated deductions such as SSS, PagIBIG, Philhealth, and Withholding TaxSend fund request to Finance for upcoming payroll based on payroll report received from payroll vendor

Final Pay

Review clearance submitted and ensure completeness before sending to the payroll vendor for final pay processingCoordinate with Finance for final pay cheque preparationEnsure final pay is computed accurately and released on time

Benefits Administration

Ensure benefits concerns and/or requests of employees are attended on a timely mannerReview enrollment forms of new hires for HMO and Life Insurance before sending to vendors for benefits activationProvide required forms to employees for availment of benefitsFiling of SSS Maternity and SSS Sickness NotificationPrepare initial calculation for SSS Sickness and SSS Maternity BenefitNotify HMO and Life Insurance of terminations for the cancellation of their benefitsPerform initial review of all billing from vendors and prepare Request for Check (RFC) before sending to C&B Manager for approval

Government Statutory

Ensure monthly statutory contributions and loans for SSS, Pag-IBIG, and Philhealth are remitted and paid on time to avoid penaltiesCertify employee’s government loans and ensure the salary deduction for the same is implemented on payroll as scheduledFacilitate annual tax filing including finalizing and submission of mandatory BIR forms (Alphalist, Schedule F, 1601, etc.)Liaise with government agencies for statutory benefits​Ensure new joiners timekeeping account is active and credentials are sent to the new joiner’s email on or before Day 1Maintain the accuracy of employee information (approver, job title, etc.) in the timekeeping system to ensure timely approval of attendance filings

QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of Psychology, Human Resource Management and other related disciplineHas at least 3-5 years of experience doing timekeeping, payroll, and benefits administrationStrong knowledge on MS Office Suite especially MS ExcelExhibits adeptness in dealing with numbers and keen on detailsHighly creative and has self-initiativeAbility to work unsupervised and to perform and deliver under strict timelinesHas good interpersonal skills, results-driven with a strong sense of integrityAnalytic, systematic, and highly organizedGood communication skills
